Earlier this month, Steve Emerson, a guest on Judge Jeanine Piro’s show on Fox, made the assertion that some European cities had become “no-go zones” for non-Muslims, including Birmingham, England, which he declared was “totally Muslim.”
“In Britain, it’s not just no-go zones, there are actual cities like Birmingham that are totally Muslim where non-Muslims just simply don’t go in,” Emerson said. “And, parts of London, there are actually Muslim religious police that actually beat and actually wound seriously anyone who doesn’t dress according to religious Muslim attire.”
Emerson was soundly attacked for his comments. UK Prime Minister David Cameron called him a “complete idiot” and said, “When I heard this, frankly, I choked on my porridge and I thought it must be April fool’s day.”
Fox News, Jeanine Piro and Steve Emerson were ultimately compelled to apologize for these comments, but not before the twittersphere had a field day making fun of #FoxNewsFacts. I personally found this one particularly amusing.
However, I’d like to share with you this undated video of a “peaceful” demonstration purportedly from England. In it you’ll see scores of unarmed British police in full retreat, as they are chased, taunted and threatened by a crowd of Islamic sympathizers (is that politically correct enough, or can I call them thugs as well?)
The crowd has no fear of being hit with tear gas, clubs or rubber bullets and loudly shouts profanity, Alahu Akhbar and “free, free Palestine.”
Maybe I’m over-reacting, but this sure looks like a “no-go” zone to me.
