Walmart refuses to print this “shocking” engagement photo [VIDEO]

This just shows you how messed up our culture is. With a cowboy hat-tip to our fellow Liberty Alliance partners at Liberty Unyielding, we’ve learned “A North Dallas Walmart refused to print an engagement photo depicting a young, clean-cut couple embracing in an outdoor setting and featuring a shotgun resting on the soon-to-be groom’s left shoulder.”

What’s so objectionable about that? The Walmart clerk says it promotes “gang culture.”

Um… this may be racist, but exactly what type of “gang” is the clerk referring to?

This one?

Or this one?

I’m just confused.

“The couple, Stephanie Wehner and Mitch Strobl, planned to display 13 photos at their wedding, which is scheduled this weekend. Each photo was chosen to display those things that are important to them, according to local ABC affiliate WFAA News 8.

The photo featuring the shotgun was important, given Strobl’s occupation. He writes outdoor recreation and gun safety manuals.”

Apparently a Walmart representative later said the retailer has no policy against printing out pictures with firearms – or clean-cut Caucasian gang bangers I presume.

  1. I don’t believe that clerk is being paid to cater to his/her own opinions and perhaps shouldn’t be getting paid at all.

    • I just started 7 weeks ago and I have gotten 2 checks for a total of $12,000…I kept hearing other people tell me how much money they can make online so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true and has totally changed my life.

  3. As someone who worked for Wal-Mart for 17 years (and have only been gone a few months), I’m pretty sure this photo lab associate might be looking for a new job. No policy against firearms in photos.

  6. I actually bought a shotgun at Walmart not too many years ago. I still get ammo there occasionally. Now, maybe not.

  7. What if it were 2 men, gay, homosexual, fudge-butt-jamming fruitcakes?
I bet they would HAVE printed the exact same photo for those 2 in that case.
    You wanna bet?
Or if the couple was Afro-American, I bet they would have not refused their request for the same exact photo.

  10. The worker declined to print the photo, so the couple called the manager who said the worker was mistaken, had the photo printed, gave them the prints for free & added a gift card on top. Problem solved, lol. Why are Allen’s panties in a bunch over this?

    • Their interview stated that they were going to get the photo printed elsewhere. They do mention that the manager stated the worker was mistaken. They do not, however, mention the photo being printed and addition of gift card. I would not have taken it if it was offered. It is time for people to stand on their principles. They stated they were very offended to have been grouped with gangs, a fact that for them is not true. I agree with Mr. West.

  12. When you have people making decisions who’ve had no experience with real life or done anything this is the sort of decision you get. Inexperienced and stupid. A husband and wife with a cracked shotgun is a gang. Oh, brother. And Walmart pays clerks way above minimum wage. With uneducated statements like that one has to wonder why.

  15. So one clerks choice is now made out to be the whole companies choice?

Uhm, I thought that using sensationalism and even out and out lies for headlines was mostly an Liberal thing. I guess I should not be surprised that others are stooping to that same tactic to get people to read their articles.

I had hoped that people like Mr. West wouldn’t feel the need to stoop to that level, but I guess I should have known better, huh

    • I think the thing to glean here is an attitude that is very prevalent today driven by liberal ideology. This kind of thing will happen repeatedly until the gun control Trolls give it up. The French are heating up there argument while we sit here and argue about sensationalist headlines. We need to keep our heads in the game.

  17. Do your RESEARCH ALLEN WEST!!!

“Miss Wehner told WFAA-TV: ‘She was very nice, but very matter-of-fact, like she was not going to budge or give me my photo”…
The puzzled pair then spoke to the store’s manager who told them the employee had been misinformed, printed their photo and gave them a gift card.”

    • Oh, he knew that, no doubt. West just knows how to work his base and understands that a story about bad customer service being fixed is boring and is not going to rile up his readers. No pitchforks will come out for “well the manager stepped in and took care of it.” Making it a story about some ideological stance against hunters or about gun control is a lot more sexy & more likely to get people’s noses flaring.

      • the point is, no interference from the manager would have been necessary if there were not some kind of anti-gun rules in effect that a store clerk does not understand or – worse – really was enforcing. When I was growing up in HARRISON, NEW YORK, I belonged to the Riflery Club in 8th and 9th Grades – about 1963/64. We shot down in the bomb shelter. As kids, we all grew up with knives, BB guns, and air pistols. We shot crows and rats near the tracks. We went hunting. kids walking around with BB guns and knives was pretty common back then. I started shooting 22 rifles when I was 7 yrs. old. I haven’t killed anyone yet though I came close 3 times when my liquor store and bar were almost robbed. To the best of my knowledge, none of my classmates became criminals either. Terrorists aren’t allowed to be profiled; black criminals can’t be profiled; but if you’re a white Christian and legally own a gun for protection or sport – OMG! must be something wrong going on here! I’m tired of it!!! (btw I’m a mom and grandma and I encourage my kids to own guns and exercise their 2nd Amendment rights as they’re probably going to have to fight for them some day – literally.)

        • Interference from a manager would never be necessary, anywhere, if people never made mistakes or did things they shouldn’t etc. There’s a reason managers have a final say with customer service. People are in for far more drama than they need in their lives if anything that goes wrong requires there to be a conspiracy or agenda behind it. The article doesn’t say what the issue might have been. A more detailed article states the manager said the employee misunderstood the rules. I’ve had pics rejected from Walmart for less. I’ve sent them back a day later only to have a different employee have no issue and print them – no drama, no conspiracy, no need for town hall meetings over it.

    • That store clerk was told not to publish photos with weapons….she didn’t make that up by herself. And she repeated what she had been told about gang violence……another statement she didn’t make up herself. When confronted, the store manager buckled like Russian high rise building.

  18. What REALLY promotes “gang violence” is the ongoing and never-ending attempts to take weapons away from law-abiding citizens who would then be at much higher risk of violence from gangs.

Gun on a wedding photo.- Maybe they were trying to say “Shot gun wedding” if you know what that phrase means! HA! Lighten up people and quit “knic picking”.
